Hydraulic pump and motor series. Manufacturer designations

We have collected in one place the designations of hydraulic pump and motor series that most often come in for repair or replacement. Rexroth, Sauer Danfoss, Linde, Kawasaki, Liebherr, Parker, Kayaba, Nachi, Uchida and the rest. Find your series on the list and check parts availability.

  • added: 15-09-2026

Anyone who has looked for hydraulic pump parts knows the hardest step is the first one: working out which series you are dealing with. Manufacturer designations look like random strings of characters, and every company uses its own system.

We have gathered in one place the series that genuinely turn up in workshops and service shops. The list serves one purpose: find your designation on it and you will know what to look for. If you are not sure where to read the designation from, start with How to read the nameplate on a hydraulic pump or motor.

How to use this list

Press Ctrl+F and type your designation, for example A10VSO or K3V112. Your browser will highlight the place on the list.

In most systems the number in the designation is the pump displacement or motor displacement in cm³ per revolution. A10VSO45 is 45 cm³/rev, K3V112 is 112 cm³/rev. The segment after the slash, such as /31 or /52, indicates the design series and matters when selecting repair kits.

The list covers axial piston pumps and motors, that is the units most often needing overhaul or replacement. It does not cover gear pumps or steering units, which we will describe separately.

Identified by machine, not by pump

Some machine manufacturers use their own catalogue numbers instead of pump series designations. In that case identification starts from the machine.

Drive axles and gearboxes

Axles and gearboxes use their own numbering conventions, different from hydraulics and different from each other. Carraro, Dana Spicer and ZF designations, along with the rules for writing them down, are covered in Drive axle and gearbox numbers. How to read the plate.

Your series is not on the list

The list covers the designs encountered most often, but not every one of them. If your designation is missing or the plate is unreadable, send us photos of the unit along with the machine make, model and year. We identify parts for units outside the catalogue too, since we source them to order.

Check availability under Hydraulic pumps and Hydraulic motors. You can send an enquiry from our Contact page.

With your enquiry include a photo of the nameplate and a photo of the complete unit with the shaft visible. With that set we normally reply with price and lead time the same working day.

Frequently asked questions

What does the number in a series designation mean?

In most systems it is the pump displacement or motor displacement in cm³ per revolution. A10VSO45 has 45 cm³/rev, K3V112 has 112 cm³/rev.

What does the segment after the slash mean, such as /31 or /52?

It is the design series. The same range in different series has different internals, so repair kits are not always interchangeable. It has to be quoted when ordering parts.

Is an Uchida A10VD the same as a Rexroth A10V?

No. Uchida produced under licence and the designations are similar, but parts do not always fit. The manufacturer has to be established from the plate.

I only have the machine number, is that enough?

With Caterpillar, Komatsu, Hyundai and Kobelco often yes, because identification there does run by machine. With Rexroth, Danfoss or Linde the designation from the pump plate is required.
